Srikakulam
SRIKAKULAM: A physically challenged man tried in vain to commit suicide in front of Srikakulam district Collectorate alleging that the government had not provided him any employment though he was meeting officials for the last eight years. The incident caught everybody's attention as he did it on the Grievances Day when Collector himself listened to the problems of people directly. The person identified as Dhavala Arjuna Rao, a native of Kintali village Ponduru mandal poured kerosene and tried to set ablaze himself. Onlookers promptly responded and stopped him from taking an extreme step. The officials immediately called 108 ambulance and provided him first aid. Later DRDA project director Mr. Rajanikanta Rao listened to his grievance and assured him of proper help very soon.
