Doctor's Day celebrated

MADURAI: Doctor's Day was celebrated at Kottakudi village near here by the Indian Medical Association, Madurai Meenakshi branch, in association with Meenakshi Mission Hospital on Sunday. Over 500 doctors from the southern districts participated in the celebration with their families. A debate, competitions for children, games and an entertainment programme were conducted on the occasion. N. Sethuraman, chairman, Meenakshi Mission Hospital, moderated the debate in which N. Krishnamurthy and M. Amanullah participated. V. M. Pandiarajan proposed a vote of thanks.

A blood donation camp was organised by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force at Idayapatti village near here last week in which officers and jawans donated blood. The camp was inaugurated by Gopinath Choyi, Commandant, 45 {+t} {+h} Battalion.
