CHENNAI: Former Union Minister Su. Thirunavukarasar on Monday met AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi and held discussions on political situation in Tamil Nadu.
“I had sought an appointment and he agreed to meet me. We discussed mainly the outcome of the Assembly elections and the forthcoming local body polls. We also had a discussion on strengthening the party organisation in the State,” he told The Hindu. He said Mr. Rahul Gandhi had promised to take it to the notice of AICC president Sonia Gandhi about the need for strengthening the organisation in the State.
