SI recruitment: State decision criticised
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Telangana Telugu Desam Forum convener E. Dayakar Rao warned the State government against going ahead with recruitment of Sub-Inspectors without deletion of the controversial clause from the Presidential Order and said the forum would launch an agitation.
Adding to problems
Talking to reporters here on Monday, he said by delaying a decision on scrapping of the clause for which the Assembly had adopted an unanimous resolution, the Centre was only adding to the existing problems in the region.
It was questioning the collective wisdom of the MLAs.
Kiran flayed
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy too was allowing the issue to drift by threatening to hold the recruitment instead of lobbying with the Centre for the deletion.
Meanwhile, the Lok Satta Party wanted Hyderabad to be treated as part of Zone VI and wanted the State government to pressurise the Centre and get Section 14 (F) deleted from the Presidential Order of 1975. It faulted the State and Centre for being complacent in addressing a sensitive issue.
