Age limit for fee reimbursement

HYDERABAD: The Group of Ministers on tuition fee reimbursement has imposed an age limit of 30 years for students seeking post-matric scholarships and tuition fee reimbursement. It relaxed the age limit for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes students to 34 years.

The Ministers, who held another round of meeting to fine tune the implementation of the fee reimbursement scheme here on Monday, also resolved that the students could avail the scheme for only one degree course and one post-graduate course.

The meeting, which was attended by Botcha Satyanarayana, Pithani Satyanarayana, K. Parthasarathy, B. Saraiah, and Md.Ahmadullah also took an overview of paramedical and nursing courses and fixed intermediate as the basic qualification for those courses. It also said that all certificate courses should be converted to diploma courses for availing the post-matric scholarships.

The managements offering paramedical and nursing courses agreed for web-counselling to bring in transparency. Importantly all the courses would be administered by the NTR University of Health Sciences hereafter. Rs.1,179 cr. released

Meanwhile, the government released Rs.1,179 crore towards fee reimbursement dues to the managements this month. It declared that it would clear the balance Rs.591 crore next month.
