KCR for Jayashankar life-sketch in syllabus

Special Correspondent

Books written by Jayashankar will be reprinted and distributed to the public by TRS

HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that he will make a formal demand for inclusion of life-sketch of K. Jayashankar in educational curriculum after consultation with Telangana joint action committee on Wednesday.

He told a condolence meeting for Jayashankar on Monday that the books written by the latter would be reprinted and distributed to public by TRS.

Mr. Rao regretted that Jayashankar passed away despite best efforts to save him from abdominal cancer. A well known cancer specialist in Mumbai was contacted and a herbal drug procured from Himachal Pradesh to save his life.

He said Jayashankar was steadfast in observing daylong fast on Saturdays even in his late years. He never heeded his advice to at least have a food supplement on such days.

Suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy said he would go ahead with installation of Jayashankar's statue in Mahabubnagar.
