AP postal employees bag Meghdoot Awards

Winner:Union Communications and IT Minister Kapil Sibal applauds as Minister of State Gurudas Kamat presents Best Post Office award to a representative of the Chandragiri Head Post Office, at the Meghdoot Awards 2009-2010, in New Delhi on Monday.

HYDERABAD: Two employees working in the AP Circle of the Department of Posts were among those who bagged the National-level Meghdoot Awards-2010 at a function held in New Delhi on Monday.

The winners were Ch. Radha Krishna Veni from Bhimavaram division and Y. Muralikrishna Prasad from Nellore Head Post Office.

A press release said that they had been selected in the individual category and while the former is a Mail Overseer in Tanuku sub-division, the latter is a postman. India Post also selected Chandragiri Head Post Office in Chittoor district as the best performing Head Post Office for the year 2010.
