‘UDRS, a compromise'

NEW DELHI: India's decision to agree to use the Umpires' Decision Review System (UDRS), albeit in a modified form, was welcomed by former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming.

Speaking at a function here on Monday, Fleming said: “It is a situation where we have to come. We had to accept it (DRS) one day.”

India had steadfastly opposed the UDRS.

Fleming, however, cautioned the system was not without its flaws. “There are some aspects which are not acceptable to some of the boards. It (UDRS) is a compromise at the moment.”
