State Government urged to cut taxes on petroleum products

Staff Correspondent

MYSORE: Mysore MP A.H. Vishwanath on Tuesday urged the State Government to cut taxes on petroleum products in the wake of the recent fuel price hike.

He criticised the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for increasing bus fares following the diesel price hike. Other States such as West Bengal have cut the taxes. The State could follow suit and lessen the burden on people, Mr. Vishwanath said.
