Clarification

HYDERABAD: Former Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami denied having said at a lecture held here on June 24 that he was opposed to the creation of Telangana.

Referring to a report published in these columns on the following day, he said in response to a question that if it came to a pass, it should be ensured that Telangana Assembly did not become a behemoth, citing the huge size of the Uttakhand and Puducherry Assembly. All this did not amount to expressing a view against Telangana, he maintained.
