MANGALORE: A woman committed suicide in her house in the Yekkur area on Tuesday morning, allegedly due to harassment from her husband, police said.
They were married three months ago.
According to Mangalore Rural police, Chandrika Suvarna (22) hanged herself in the rented room she shared with her husband Pravinchandra around 9 a.m. before he woke up.
Ms. Suvarna's father Jaya Poojary said in the complaint that she had committed suicide because her husband allegedly tortured her.
