Pipeline damage hits supply
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Water supply to Yeshwanthpur, Muthyalnagar, Mathikere and surrounding areas is likely to be hit on Wednesday as the BWSSB's feeder line supplying water to these areas has been damaged near C.N.R. Rao Circle (near IISc. junction).
A BWSSB official said the line was damaged during earth excavation for the Malleshwaram underpass being taken up by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. “A 25-metre stretch of the 700-mm diameter feeder line near the IISc. junction collapsed after the road was dug up. As this is the only pipeline that supplies water to these areas, supply will be affected till the line is restored on Wednesday,” the official said.
