COMED-K PG medical counselling to resume today

BANGALORE: In the wake of the Supreme Court order, permitting counselling for the remaining seats in postgraduate medical colleges, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) will hold extended admission rounds for the unfilled seats on Wednesday.

In a press release, COMED-K informed that at the end of the final round of COMED-K counselling held on May 31 as many as 41 PG seats left unfilled. As the last date for admitting students was fixed by the MCI as June 1, these seats could not be filled by member institutions. The Supreme Court order has permitted the COMED-K to hold counselling and has asked it to file a status report before June 30.The counselling will begin at 10.30 a.m.

Meanwhile, RGUHS will also conduct counselling for the unfilled government seats on Wednesday. RGUHS Registrar Prem Kumar informed that university will hold the extended round of counselling for left over, surrendered and seats vacant under the All India Quota on Wednesday morning.
