BSNL plans for military personnel

Kozhikode: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) General Manager G. Muraleedharan launched new mobile plans for the military and para-military forces in Kozhikode Secondary Switching Area (SSA) at the Coast Guard Centre at Beypore on Tuesday by presenting the first SIM to Commanding Officer G.K.P. Sreekumar.

For “Rakshak”—the plan for post-paid customers—the monthly fixed charge is Rs.149.50 with 150 minutes of free talk time (both local and STD) along with another free talk period of 450 minutes per month to make calls to Jodi SMS. The incoming calls would be free while roaming and charges for outgoing calls while roaming is Re.1 per minute. The pre-paid “Jai Jawan” plan offers talk value of Rs.75 for every re-charge of Rs.97 with validity of 30 days. In addition, the subscriber can talk to any two BSNL numbers for a maximum of 20 minutes daily without any charge. All other calls will be charged at one paise per second. Reduced call charges to any two BSNL numbers is also available.
