Collector's gesture to a student

Immediate action:Coimbatore District Collector

COIMBATORE: S. Ashwin of Kannarpalayam, near Karamadai, on Wednesday received a commitment letter for a education loan of Rs. 4 lakh after he presented a petition to the Collector, M. Karunakaran, at a mass contact programme held at Karamadai.

Ashwin, who wanted to study engineering , found it difficult to get an education loan because his account with a branch of a particular bank was not in the service area. The student presented a petition to the Collector urging him to pursue the loan. Collector spoke to the bankers concerned through District Lead Manager J. Vanangamudi and helped the boy in getting the loan.
