Held on murder charge
VANIYAMBADI: The Vaniyambadi town police have arrested a juvenile in connection with the murder of a youth on Tuesday. He has been sent to a juvenile home in Chennai, police said.
According to police, the deceased, Subhail (18), a resident of Jafferabad was playing cricket at Periyapettai and entered into a brawl with the accused. Following the fight, Subhail left the spot. While he was nearing Chennampettai, he teased a girl, who is a relative of the accused. Angered over this, the accused hit Subhail with a cricket bat. Subhail lost consciousness and died on the spot.
