Udhagamandalam: A Rescue-cum-Anti-Depredation Centre was opened at Thepakadu inside the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) near here. Inaugurating the facility on Wednesday, the Field Director, MTR, Rajeev K. Srivastava, said that it has been equipped with a telephone connection. The number 2526001 will be toll free for callers using a landline. Mr. Srivastava said that apart from strengthening conservation measures it would help reduce man-wildlife conflicts.
