Mysore: The former Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader M. Mahadev has clarified that neither he nor party leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal had spoken lightly of the heads of Veerashaiva maths recently. They only suggested that they be wary of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, Mr. Mahadev said. Speaking here on Wednesday, he said the “taint” of corruption should not reach the maths, because of their association with Mr. Yeddyurappa. He “respected” the heads of the maths for the work they did for society, he added.
