KOCHI: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday stayed the government action in leasing out Guruvayur Devaswom land on a long-term basis for establishing police and fire stations in Guruvayur.

The Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice S.S. Satheesachandran issued the order on a writ petition filed by Prakash Kakkassery of the Hindu Ayikya Vedi.

Directive to Centre

The court directed the Central government to consider and dispose of a representation seeking steps to avert adverse impact on the Keralites working in the Gulf due to the release of the film Gaddama there.
