KARIMNAGAR: Only 26.33 per cent degree first year students have passed in their annual examinations for which results were released here on Tuesday evening by Satavahana University Vice-Chancellor Md Iqbal Ali. The Satavahana University had conducted for the first time the degree first year examinations for the academic year 2010-11 for its 86 affiliated colleges. A total of 21,161 students had appeared in the examinations, but only 26.33 per cent students have passed and the remaining students, however, have been promoted to the second year. Disclosing this to newsmen here, the Vice-Chancellor said a total of 10,833 students had written B.Com examination, 8,141 B.Sc students and 2,071 BA and 116 BBM students. Surprisingly, the pass percentage in BBM was 30.17 followed by B.Sc with 28.08, B Com with 27.79 per cent. The lowest pass percentage was recorded among the BA students with 11.64 per cent only. The students were informed to apply for revaluation of examination papers before July 29 at cost of Rs. 250 per each subject. Other details can be obtained at www.satavahana.ac.in.
