Stone laid for two water projects

Helping hand:Assembly Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhattivikramarka distributing crop damage cheques at Bonakal in Khammam district on Wednesday.

KHAMMAM: Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka laid foundation stones for two protected drinking water projects worth Rs 20 lakhs each at Thutigunta and Choppakatlapalem villages respectively in Bonakal mandal on Wednesday.

He also inaugurated a new building of school complex built at a cost of Rs 33 lakh at Janakipuram village and formally launched the construction works of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya taken up at an expenditure of Rs 1.20 crore in the mandal headquarters. Later, Mr Vikramarka inaugurated a new school building at Allapadu village in the same mandal.

According to a press release, Mr Vikramarka will participate in various development activities along with Minister for Information Technology and the district in-charge minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, and Minister for Horticulture R Venkata Reddy in Khammam town on June 30.
