A release from the Superintendent of Police M.T. Ganesamoorthy said the special wing, to be supervised by him, would be headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police M. Panchavarnam of the District Crime Branch (DCB). The team would exclusively investigate complaints on land encroachments, land grabbing from elderly women, senior citizens and deserted women, and cheating in connection with land sale and purchase in the area. People in Dharmapuri district may contact the wing at any time at 04342 267311 either to lodge complaints or pass information. The complainants may also contact the DSP on her mobile number 94866 51250 and Inspector Mr. Selvaraj at 94438 90810, the release added.
