Guntur
GUNTUR: H. Pranavi, a student of Loyola Public School (LPS), Nallapadu, Guntur, has kept the school's flag flying high by securing second rank in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examinations held in March 2011. She secured 670 marks out of 700 marks, turning a new leaf in the school's history. The LPS is managed and administered by the members of Society of Jesus, also called as Jesuits and began functioning in July, 1964. School Principal U. Antony further said that the school recorded a stupendous performance from the boys and girls who have written the ICSE by recording a 100 per cent pass. Out of 166 students, 113 have secured distinction, 52 passed in first class and one in second class. Ms. Pranavi, along with other toppers, was felicitated at a function held on the school premises. Fr. Antony also said Jesuit Institutions would continue to function with the same zeal.
