TIRUNELVELI: Special teams designated to conduct field-level enquiry on the applications seeking official financial assistance to senior citizens, widows, physically challenged, etc. will be visiting the applicants' residences between June 30 and July 2, Collector S. Natarajan has said. In a statement, Mr. Natarajan said the district administration had received 56,561 petitions seeking old age pension, assistance for widows and other financial help. Instructions have been given to the officials concerned to conduct special enquiries on these applications between June 30 and July 2 to ascertain the genuineness of petitions.
