Lok Satta appeals to keep RTC fares unaffected

HYDERABAD: Lok Satta party has appealed to the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to direct the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) not to hike the bus fares in the wake of the Union government's decision to increase the diesel price.

In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister , the party said any hike in bus fares would impose a heavy burden on the poor and middle-class commuters.
