Three injured in accident

Karwar: Three persons were seriously injured in Manaki village in Kumta taluk on Wednesday when a motorcycle hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The injured persons have been identified as Ravi (26), Vijay Chandru Mesta (26), and Dayanand Tandel. Vijay and Dayanand, the pillion, were returning to Ankola from Honnavar.

The motorcycle was said to be going much beyond the speed limit when the incident happened.

Ravi, who suffered grievous injuries, has been shifted to KIMS in Hubli.

The Kumta police are investigating.
