Medical teams on the move in Agency
VISAKHAPATNAM: Medical teams, under the guidance of Special Officers are extensively touring the Visakha Agency to control malaria and fevers for the last two days.
A Special Officer was designated for each of the 11 Agency mandals by Collector Lav Agarwal and each one of them was visiting remote villages also in the mandal allotted to him or her. This was showing results, claimed a press release from the district administration on Wednesday.
Spraying of DDT, chlorination of drinking water sources and on the spot diagnostic tests were some of the steps being taken by the Special Officers.
Revenue Divisional Officer of Paderu K.R.D. Prasad and Special Officer for Araku Valley mandal N. Sitamahalakshmi and others were touring their respective mandals. Ms. Sitamahalakshmi said control room (08936 249624) or mobiles 94907 45323/89856 45976 or 94910 35295 can be contacted in case medical help was needed in Araku Valley mandal.
