Notice ordered on school's writ petition
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI : The Madras High Court on Wednesday admitted and ordered notice on a writ petition by a private school in Tiruvannamalai district seeking to quash an order of the Private School Fee Determination Committee of May 27 this year relating to the institution. The school also sought a direction to the committee to consider its objections dated March 31 regarding fee fixation.
Justice P.Jyothimani ordered notice on a petition filed by Wisdom Matriculation Higher Secondary School of Cheyyatraivendran. The school, represented by its Principal, G.Mathialagan, submitted that the committee had not determined the fee structure as contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Schools (Regulation of Collection of Fee) Act 2009 and had not applied its mind to the facts and circumstances of the present case. The guidelines laid down by the High Court were also not followed.
