VUDA clears more LRS applications

Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM: VUDA has granted 1,165 more approvals under the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) in the third spell of the special drive launched by Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar.

The proceedings of the approvals were given away on Wednesday to the applicants. The Vice-Chairman assured applicants that VUDA would continue the special drive until the last LRS application was cleared. He reiterated that VUDA would improve its services and work transparently to benefit people. At least 1,000 LRS applications would be cleared every 10 days without the applicants going round the VUDA office. With the initiative taken by Mr. Sasidhar, the scrutiny and processing of the applications has been made easier and in-house services provided to expedite LRS clearance.

Chief Urban Planner VUDA K Ananda Babu and other officials were present.
