VISAKHAPATNAM: The Hindu, in association with Touch Clinic in the city, will conduct a health talk and free medical camp on Thursday for all students of Gayatri Women's Engineering College and Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya Engineering College for Women.
Chief Consultant Pasupuleti Praveena of Touch Clinic, an advanced health and medico aesthetic treatment clinic said that Doctor's Day is celebrated on July 1 across India to honour the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962, aged 80 years.
This awareness programme is being planned as a token of special gesture for girl students of the two engineering colleges in the city.
During the camp, Dr. Praveena and her team of qualified Dermatologist and Cosmetologist doctors Dr. K.N. Padma, Consultant and Dr. M.M. Roshan will address the students on various general health issues related to skin, hair, beauty care and other aspects and also give tips and counselling on fat and inch loss, obesity, face lifting analysis, wrinkle reduction, scar revision, skin rejuvenation and tightening etc. The programme at Gayatri Women's Engineering College will start at 10:30 a.m. and at Dr. L. Bullayya Women's College at 2 p.m.
Touch started its operations in Visakhapatnam on May 6.
The clinic will offer specialised laser treatments for all skin, hair and nail diseases. Mr. Srinivas, Director (Operations), said that the treatments will be given by the qualified and experienced dermatologists at very cost effective rates which are very much within the reach of common man.
