Film producer held in Chennai

HYDERABAD: Film producer C. Kalyan was reportedly detained by the sleuths of Crime Investigation Department at Chennai on Wednesday, as part of the investigation into a cheating case.
He would be brought to the city on Thursday, sources said.

Already, the CID officials have arrested film producer Singanamala Ramesh Babu in connection with three cheating cases while investigating into the transactions of Bhanu Kiran, who was wanted in the murder case of factionist Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri.
Police hope to obtain some leads about the absconding Bhanu Kiran while interrogating film producers Singanamala Ramesh Babu and Kalyan.
