NEW DELHI: The Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has rolled back its decision of charging Rs.5,000 per day as charges for hiring the Ambedkar Stadium football ground.
The revised rate will be Rs.500.
In a statement, the Delhi Soccer Association Secretary Syed Shaheen said: “The soccer fraternity of Delhi feels that this is a step in the right direction as it will ease the association to resume its activities at the Ambedkar Stadium which is the nerve centre of soccer activity in the Capital.”
The DSA stated its annual league would commence soon.
