This volume is a bouquet of literary compliments paid to Sri Krishna Bhat by his admirers. Out of the five parts, the second part occupies the major portion of the book with 60 articles contributed by persons who were close to Bhat. Besides the contents, the range of captions given to these articles, amply testifies to the title given to this volume. The first part is a summary of his autobiography and it will remain an everlasting model for young scholars. The articles in part three review his writings and the fourth is devoted to the study of folklore literature to which Bhat’s contribution as a writer, artiste and a critique is outstanding. The last part with 18 articles, deals with reviews of contemporary Kannada literature.
In the opening pages the editor describes his academic achievements and admirable personality. His published works have been listed. This volume is a demonstration of a Kannada scholar who has served outside his native state successfully. The articles in this sumptuous collection have been classified systematically and edited well.
