Bata India: Top-level changes
THE recent changes in the ranks of the top management of Bata India may lead to some heightened interest in the stock. The move may be viewed as raising the prospect of enhanced interest by the global parent, Bata Shoe Organisation, Canada.
These moves could lead to an improvement in the core operations and have a positive effect in the medium to long term. The Bata India stock has gained close to 35 per cent in trading in the last fortnight. Further gains from the present level may however
come about only on the back of any concrete announcement on a possible hike in stake by the parent company. -- BL Research Bureau
