New show



Vandhaana Thandhaana on Kalaignar TV, Wednesday, 10 p.m.

(Vijay TV, Monday to Thursday, 9.30 p.m.)

A series of new programmes spread over four segments (airing one segment each day) titled “Night Show at 9.30” already on air from October 19, features the hot happenings in tinsel world.

Get up-close with some of the leading stars in an interview to be aired in “Arindhadhum, Ariyadhadhum” on Mondays. “Cinema, Kaaram, Coffee” on Tuesdays is a spicy chat show that features the latest gossip from Kollywood. In “Reel Paadhi, Real Paadhi” on Wednesdays, Nandu, Vandu and Chendu are back to share the latest happenings from Kollywood.

The next segment on the same time slot is “Madan’s Thiraiparvai” on Thursdays, in which film critic Madan will share his views about a recently released film, besides talking with the artists/director of the respective film.

Vandhaana Thandhaana

(Kalaignar TV, Wednesday, 10 p.m.)

Directed by C. Ranganathan, the serial narrates the life of a couple with a comic touch. Life gets tough for this innocent husband, whose wife (Kovai Sarala) always doubts his character. He gets caught in a vortex and tries to prove his innocence to his wife. Will he be able to set right the anomaly in his home? How does he tackle his wife, who waits for a chance to go to her mother’s place, and in-laws and prove his point?

Produced by Eversmile, the cast includes C. Ranganathan, K.R.Vatsala, MRK, ‘Suruli’ Manohar and ‘Suruli’ Mohan.

Masthana Masthana

(Sun TV, Sunday, 7 p.m.)

The show that exhibits the dancing skills of couples moves to the next round. The participants are given a theme each week, and their performance evaluated. The couple with the maximum score progresses to the next stage.

This week’s theme is ‘Item Numbers’ where the couples will dance to songs of their choice. This will be followed by the ‘Solo Round,’ where the contestants will showcase their individual talents. Tharun Kumar and Meena are the judges.
