The General’s Daughter

Warrant officer, Paul Brenner (John Travolta), has been assigned to investigate the brutal murder of General “Fighting Joe” Campbell’s (James Cromwell) daughter. After encountering all levels of resistance from the army, Paul comes to realise the grim truth that beneath the well-ordered surface of military life is a sordid secret that makes murder suspects of some of the Army’s finest.

The Return

Since 11, Joanna (Sarah Gellar) has been seeing haunting visions of a woman being murdered in cold blood. Joanna decides to follow her visions to uncover the truth and is led to the victim’s hometown. There, she discovers that the murder she is trying to prevent may well be her very own.

The Legend of Zorro

(HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m.)

Alejandro De LaVega (Antonio Banderas) is torn between two worlds: his life as Zorro and his life as a family man. When he once again breaks his promise to stop wearing the mask, Elena (Zeta-Jones) leaves him and soon begins seeing Armand, a haughty French Count. But a mysterious explosion in the desert leads Zorro to believe there’s more to Armand than meets the eye.

Baghban

Baghban is the tale of a family where the parents sacrifice everything to nurture their four children, only to be left uncared for when they grow old. Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) and wife Pooja (Hema Malini) have four sons. The sons have settled down professionally. However, when Raj retires, none of his children want to be burdened with the responsibility of taking care of their parents. Strangely, it is the adopted son (played by Salman Khan) who proves to be the most kind hearted of them all.
