Mannum manushayanum Jaihind TV, Sunday 8.30 a.m.

New shows on Makkal TV

Beginning May 12, the channel rolls out an array of new programmes and airs the regular shows at different timings. ‘Karpom Kanini,’ the new show, to be aired on Mondays, brings out many interesting facts about computers, helping homemakers operate the system with ease.

‘Sol Vilaiyattu’ aired on 9.30 p.m., will, from this week, be aired at 2 p.m. The new game show, ‘Mukkoodal,’ which introduces new Tamil words and numbers to the viewers, will be aired on weekdays at 9 p.m. Get to know about the latest brands that have hit the market and so on in ‘Sandhai,’ to be aired at 3.30 p.m. instead of 2 p.m.Also on the cards is a ‘Q&A game’ for book lovers at 6.03 p.m. The winners can take home loads of books as gifts. ‘Thiraikadal Odi,’ Tuesdays, 11 a.m., is for those doing export business. And join the panellists who discuss socio-political issues on a day-to-day basis in ‘Parvaigal,’ aired on weekdays.

Mannum Manushayanum

A programme dedicated to agriculture, “Mannum Manushayanum” focusses on the latest happenings in this field.

Agricultural experts participate in the show and answer viewers’ queries. The show is directed by B. Balachandran. The programme repeats on Fridays at 4 p.m.

Star Utsav

(Asianet Plus, weekdays, 9.30 p.m.)

Contestants of Idea Star Singer 2007 are back on the small screen to captivate viewers with their musical skills.

Tune in to listen to this talented bunch of youngsters as they belt out hits, old and new.

Vishudha Thomasleeha

(Asianet, weekdays, 8 p.m.)

Go back in time to walk in the footsteps of St. Thomas after he landed in Kerala. The cast includes KPAC Lalitha, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Saikumar, Rajan P. Dev, Tony, T.P. Madhavan, Mukundan, Beena Antony, Sangeeta Mohan and Nisha.
