Why I like... Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander

It’s a close call between one I grew up watching, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, but I don’t relate to the latter anymore. So, I’ll go with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. It’s an evergreen film and you can watch it anytime. It was a complete entertainer, but never felt filmy. My sister was crazy about Aamir Khan and I guess that’s how I started watching his films. We all fell for him from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which, though filmy, is also one of my favourites.

What we liked about Aamir is how well he played the naughty and then the responsible son — the transition was so realistic. And the cycle race at the end is something we always wait for. It is heart-stopping. You so want him to win the race. And how I can forget the kiss between Aamir Khan and Pooja Bedi. It was one of the few kisses on screen at that time, and all my friends used to gang up to watch that scene. Pooja Bedi looked quite a hottie in the film.
