Go nuts over Bolt

Comic adventure Bolt

No, no, it’s not about nuts and bolts! It is the tale of a super dog named Bolt (John Travolta). Bolt’s every day is filled with adventure as long as he is part of a reality show. Unaware that his power is fake and his amazing feats are created just for the camera, he is having a wonderful time with his owner and co-star Penny.

He gets a bolt out of the blue when he is accidentally shipped out of Los Angeles. Bolt suddenly discovers his super bark is not working and that he is like any other dog. When hunger pangs strike, he refuses to believe the obvious and decides to return to Penny (Miley Cyrus). Eventually he finds an unlikely partner in an abandoned house cat, Mittens (Susie Essman), and a hamster. Mittens clears his delusions and shows him that being ordinary doesn’t mean everything is lost.

Director duo Chris Williams and Byron Howard have cleverly handled the dogged approach of Bolt and the volatile chemistry between Bolt and Mittens. John Travolta has given Bolt a voice you can believe, and Disney lives up to its reputation that nothing comes close to it when it comes to animation. It is no longer just about non-stop stunts. At times the ordinary can be special as well.
