ITSY-BITSY

Bring on the laughs

Suryanagaram may be another name for Madurai, according to first-time director Chellamuthu, because the sun never sets in that temple town. "But, another very important reason for film lovers to watch Suryanagaram is the comeback of comedian Senthil," says Chellamuthu, a 2002-03 batch graduate from the Film Institute. After gaining experience under established directors such as P.Vasu and Keyar, he is about to start Suryanagaram with Rahul (Moscovin Kaveri) and Meera Nandan (Valmiki) in the lead. "The story is based in Madurai, and deals with the self-awareness of youth as they grow into adulthood," says Chellamuthu.
