The new generation has changed its approach to life. It is mature and talented, and on the way to taste the cream of life with innovative ideas, as the world is full of opportunities and wherein the maxim, ''you don't get what you want, you get what you deserve'', works.
Youngsters of this generation believe in fulfilling their dreams at their own cost, be it buying books or participating in a bash. For this, they are prepared to do part-time jobs or summer jobs, which is a common thing in the West, in their free time. The guys and gals nowadays are not only trying out the Western outfits but also their zest to be on their own.
Such assignments not only earn the youngsters money but also enable them to experience different things which can be useful in their life and career. They also get to meet people from various walks of life, which helps them to improve their communication and writing skills - an add-on to their CV.
Now there are many openings for the youth like BPO, marketing, data entry, project works and many more, upon which they can lay hands during their free time to fulfil their dreams. However, while earning money and gaining precious experience that way, I feel that they should not neglect their studies, which should be their first priority.
Parents, too, should encourage their children, if they are interested in doing part-time jobs, and desist from spoon-feeding.
Private and public organisations should take steps to offer such free-time opportunities, as they would in return get quality work from the youth.
