Novel scheme at KGISL

SIX STUDENTS of the KGISL Institute of Information Management successfully completed an `Earn-while-you-learn' scheme that enabled them to work in live software projects even while studying at the institute.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals in the information technology industry, the students were able to learn in a real-life situation. Working part-time, they could earn up to Rs. 2,500 a month.

The managing director of KGISL, Ashok Baktavatsalam, presented cheques to the students. In view of the success of the pilot project, the scheme would be extended to all those studying at KGISL-IIM.
