THE HINDU Education Plus and AIMS Education's event GATEWAY IIT and Open Test for IIT Joint Entrance Examination 2005, held this past week, was an occasion to savour for the group. The participants got to write a mock test modelled on IIT entrance exams. The event was organised to build confidence among the students and also expose them to strategies for tackling difficult problems in such exams. About 550 candidates took this mock test. The test session was follosed by a discussion session in the afternoon. M.R.Sivakumar, Chief Circulation Manager, The Hindu, thanked the students and their parents for their support and encouragement. Then he announced on behalf of The Hindu Education Plus that many more such useful academic events will l be organised in future. The resource persons at the discussion included G.N.Subramanian, Professor of Physics., D.P.Sankaran, Professor of Chemistry, Thothadri, Professor of Chemistry, A.V.Dharmapadam , Professor of Mathematics and K.S.Nagaraja, Professor of Chemistry. Gita Prabhu , Executive Director , AIMS Education said the results of the Open Test would be online in AIMS Education website.
