Defence service examination on September 18

The Union Public Service Commission has announced May 24 as the last date for filing of applications for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2005, which has been scheduled for September 18.

The examination is for admission to Indian Military, Naval and Air Force Academies for the course commencing from July 2006 and for the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for the course commencing in October 2006.

Details regarding syllabus and examination venues can be obtained from the UPSC website — — http://www.upsc.gov.in.

Common form

Candidates must apply in the common application form which can be procured from the designated head post offices for Rs. 20 each All applications must reach the `Secretary, UPSC, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi, 110069' before May 24.
