Test your aptitude for IT

NITAT 2005, the 2nd National IT Aptitude Test from NIIT, is aimed at enabling graduates and students pursuing their studies in engineering, arts, commerce and science streams to gauge their aptitude for a career in the IT sector. The nationwide test will be held on May 22 across top 100 towns in the country. Students can register for NITAT online at www.niit.com or at their nearest NIIT centres.

Speaking on the growing demand for skilled IT professionals, Vijay K. Thadani, NIIT Co-founder and CEO, said, "Every field of work will require IT familiarity in the years ahead. Over 2. 75 lakh new IT jobs will be available in India over the next one year."

More than one lakh candidates are expected to assess their IT aptitude this year. The test, being held in association with The Hindu Educationplus, has been designed as an objective type examination of reasoning, comprehension, data interpretation skills and behavioural traits. Every student undergoing the test, will receive a score-card, along with her/his nationwide and zonal ranking.
