Right qualifications and careful planning will make one a permanent resident of Australia and New Zealand, which means a passport to being a global citizen that everybody is craving for, says Robert Dilinger, Founder of Dilinger Consultants.
On a student visa to Australia, you can work 20 hours per week. Minimum wage is AUD $10 to 12 per hour. Earnings will be around AUD $200 per week. Living expenses come to around AUD $200 per week.
"Be clear. You can earn only your living expenses here. Your parents will have to bear the entire tuition fee," he clarifies after taking them on a visual treat of the beautiful sights and sounds of Australia and New Zealand, and the richer life they offer for those who become permanent residents.
Reap it rich
The founder of Chennai-based Dilinger Consultants, Robert Dilinger, packed some hard facts into his lively presentation made in front of an impressive gathering of the prospective students and migrants here recently. But, the hard facts were not without some huge benefits lying in store for those in the gathering, who came from the city, and the surrounding towns like Guntur, Rajahmundry, Eluru and Kakinada.
The firm has its offices at Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The Vijayawada office can be contacted at 5511805 and 5511806.
"Believe it or not, the streets of Melbourne speak enough Telugu. You feel at home there. We have come to concentrate here because of big numbers are heading towards these destinations from this area," he said.
"Earn a Masters degree of two years, wait for nine months and become a Permanent Resident to become a global citizen. You can just buy a ticket, walk into a flight and go to New York," Mr. Dilinger reeled out the benefits that would accompany a course in higher studies in Australia and New Zealand.
STUDYING IS COOL MATE!: The ambience and the setting is loaded in favour of students. A scene at University of South Australia in Adelaide.
Have the right qualifications, leave the rest to Dilinger Consultants. Established in 1992, they got authorisation to offer admission to many Australian and New Zealand institutions. They secured admission for over 3,800 Indian students in the two countries till now. An AAERI and IEEN member, the firm would ask students to submit the right documents.
Dilinger Consultants had got its representatives specially posted in New Delhi to take care of visa processing with the Australian and New Zealand High Commissions. The firm was also dealing with e-visa. One would not be required to attend a visa interview at all. They would provide integrated services - providing information on the programme of your choice, recommending you to the right institution, assistance in admission, visa procedures and foreign exchange, and arranging accommodation in the two foreign countries.
A lot of migration possibilities await chartered accountants, software professionals, doctors, engineers and lots of other professions. The scope is unlimited for Indian students and professionals," he says. Mr. Dilinger would take pride in being the first South Indian student in Australia in 1992, when he completed his MBA. He went on to complete an IBP programme in the US, but Australia remained his passion.
If you get an Australian PR (Permanent Resident), you can just walk into any flight and visit New York and other major world cities. On a student visa, one can work only for 20 hours. If one has PR, the scope is unlimited and a PR holder can work for any number of hours. To get US PR, one has to study and then work for a number of years. Australian PR is granted after one's two years Masters. The only thing is that you have to wait for nine months after completion of two-years Masters degree. During this period, you will be given a bridging visa and you are allowed to work full-time.
Dilinger's assistance
Dilinger Consultants would facilitate admission to internationally reputed institutions in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra; Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston and Hamilton. Their counsellors, who lived and studied in the two countries, would provide first-hand information to prospective students and migrants.
