CHAITANYA ENGINEERING COLLEGE.

"Indolence paid dividends" said the great Ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, who was the pioneer in that field, of course he achieved it with his passion at work, determination and a pair of binoculars. But today in this competitive world, Passion at work only pays dividends to the people in whatever organisation they are.

If you think you can, you are right about it. If you lack passion, develop it because success never comes till you are passionate about it. To achieve greatness you also have to be passionate about your beliefs. Think passionately and all stories of success have one common element; passion. Passion for what they want to achieve. Enough passion to keep their vision from wandering away from the goal. Total passion to finally view them through. Success comes to people who are passionate about it and passion itself has its own principles and guidelines.

There is a big difference between the people who just work and people who work passionately. This difference is the difference between success and failure. People who are passionate about their work are a boon to organisations as they are high achievers and always remains self- motivated and self-driven. They are more goal-oriented than technique-oriented.

People with passion automatically tend to be innovative. Success, happiness and very often, even money, are directly related to just one thing- passion at work. Successful people have a sense of destiny, they are destined for bigger things. These people look forward towards unique accomplishments and are oriented towards the future. Your failure does not necessarily mean that the cause you were fighting/facing was not worth it. People who passionately believe 'they can' develop the ability to persist in the face of adversity. These people are never completely content. They are not easily discouraged by failure. They feel that failure is the stepping stone to success and as a learning experience. Successful people are active, restless, pioneers, adventurers, willing to leave the present and venture into the unknown. Napolean said, "Nothing is impossible". There is no such word-'impossible' in my dictionary. Arindam Chauduri, the Managerment Guru said, "People with passion for work generally have the courage to whistle while they work." These people enjoy their work thoroughly. They laugh while at work without any guilt for they know that they give 100% to their work. They want to take credit for the success, but are equally prepared to accept the blame for failure.

People with passion for work, work not just with their brains- their eyes, ears, overall expressions work. These people usually demonstrate some inter-personal competence and enjoy long-term relationships. One should remember that passion for work can be maintained only by developing a habit of taking reasonable challenges. They can maintain their passions and levels of motivation through their own zeal, enthusiasm, and restlessness to achieve more.

Though their targets have moderate risks to keep the challenge in life alive, they are able to keep their passion levels high and do not need to be motivated by others. They are invaluable resources for any organisation whether it is an educational institution or a private/public limited company.
