P.B. SIDDHARTHA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE: The march of science and technology has made a lot of difference to the life of the common man. Its results are conspicuous in the areas of education, health, communications and almost every field of human endeavour. Because of technological advances, many diseases, once dreaded as great scourges, have totally disappeared from the face of the earth.

Computerisation has shown human excellence at its best. No area is left untouched and unimproved by information technology. At railway reservation offices, we can plan our journey to any destination. Modern means of transport has cut down distances in a big way. Science has made inroads into farming, too, on which depends our rural economy. Farm mechanisation has minimised the drudgery associated with agricultural practices. Production from agricultural sector has gradually increased.

Development of science and technology, infrastructure facilities such as drinking water, electricity, transportation, health and communications have brought about dramatic changes in lifestyles.

Nowadays, oil prices are soaring sky-high. India is going ahead with the persistent research in regard to renewable energy resources. India can be proud of its scientists, scientific institutions and laboratories. Life has become unimaginable without science and technology.
