Masters in IT
The B.M. Birla Science Centre, the University of Udine, Italy and the International Institute for Applicable Mathematics and Information Sciences invite applications for the one-year Master of Information Technology degree and the PhD programme (with and without fellowships).
Graduates in Engineering/ Technology/ or any relevant degree in Science or Computer applications are eligible to apply for the Master's programme. Travel support and a short-term internship in Europe would be provided strictly on the basis of merit.
For the PhD programme, students with M.Sc in Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics/M.Tech/M.E/MCA from any recognised University are eligible to apply. For the PhD programme, fully paid three-year fellowships in Italy would be available based on the entrance examination.

Home Science diploma
Admissions for the three-year diploma in Home Science for girls in the Government Domestic Science Training College are in progress. Students who have passed SSC are eligible for the course. The admission forms can be obtained from the office of the Principal of the college, East Marredpally. Interested candidates (SC/STs) should pay Rs.80 towards counselling fee and others have to pay Rs.160 along with a demand draft of Rs.250 towards application form to be drawn in favour of the Secretary, State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, from any nationalised bank.

Education fair
The Indian Bank sanctioned Rs.6.6 lakh education loan, without any security to K. Ravinder, son of a daily wage labourer residing at Kushaiguda, during the one-day Indian Bank education loan fair held at the Government Polytechnic College recently. The cheque was handed over to Ravinder by the bank's Executive Director, V. Sambamurthy.
According to the bank's General Manager, R. Vijaya Rama Rao, the bank sanctioned loan to 310 candidates amounting to Rs.5.94 crore. Out of the 310 students, 28 students sought loan for education abroad.
HR workshop
The Concern India Foundation is organising a one-day workshop -- "HR Trendsetter" -- at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Gachibowli from 9 a.m to 6 p.m on August 4. The workshop will identify the trendsetting companies in HR field and will also offer a series of seminars to highlight and update them on the latest trends in HR.
