Ethical hacking

The Department of Information Technology, Jerusalem College of Engineering, conducted a one-day workshop on ethical hacking, computer forensics and cyber crime in collaboration with Intellesecure Network Solutions last week.

Rama K. Subramanian, director, Intellesecure Network Solutions, was the guest of honour. Resource persons from Intellesecure spoke on topics such as reconaissance, scanning and gaining and maintaining access. Methods to evaluate the geographical location of the target were discussed.

Various stages of scanning such as identification of host, port scanning techniques, operating system identification, password cracking, local access network manager were also dealt with.
